You can do it

《You can do it》(稿2)

There are some magic words, such as "i see something in you, but i don't know what it is", that is why Dananjaya became a toastmaster and such as "you can do it", that is why i still stand here.

First time i stood in the stage, i was so nervous that i couldn't say even a word.

President wang lead to applaud, which seemed to say: take it easy, you can do it .

First time i was invited to be a role, i refused directly: no, no, i can't work it.

President wang said firmly: be confident, you can do it.

And first time i have a chance to speak outside our club, i was not sure whether i should attend or not?

President wang again said :just have a try,you can do it.

One day, present wang asked me to stay and said: do you want to be a president?

I felt surprised, but i replied: yes. i will try.

Then I started to prepare for a speech, a role and a contest with great enthusiasm.

However, its just a happy beginning.

The fact is that the time i spend on preparing a speech maybe 100 times longer than delivering it. I believe most of you know this.

The fact is that the distance between the club and my house is almost to cross the half city.

The fact is that the progress i try hard to make sometimes is so little that i couldn't keep thinking if i should give up.

But eventually, i  choose to try again and again and again.

Fortunately, i still stand here.

Now i know i am so different from what i was a year ago.

I become more relaxed, more logical and a little more interesting in public speaking.

More importantly, i become more patient,more considerate and more peaceful when i communicate with my family and friends.

And most importantly, there is a sound in my mind that becomes larger and clearer: i can do it. i can do it. i can do it.

Yes. I can.

Now i know who i am and what i can do.

Now i know i will never lose myself even in setbacks.

And i know i couldn't know if i didn't start and persevere.

That is the real reason that i still stand here.

Once someone said to Dananjaya: i see something in you, but i don't know what it is.

He believed. many years later, when he stood in the stage, holding a champion cup, he must be thinking: i see something in myself and i know what it is.

My friends, my dear friends, do you want to see something in yourself?

Then just to believe, to act, and to reflect, someday you will know.

And I believe you can do it。
