Sonnet 30: Other worlds, lives,

If infin’te universes did exist,

there would be one where I had won your heart.

For all those fleeting chances that I missed,

Had I one seized I’d not live in this smart.

I am bepestered by this petty thought,

which may upon some poor souls pain afflict.

Contented with what to my life you’ve brought,

what life sans you would be I daren't predict.

Yet on your troubling presence I did pond’r:

Would I obtain the bliss from ignorance?

On other earths I met some lovers fond’r

whom might relieve me from this sufferance.

Since I broke not though bounds of time and space,

I'd face my fate against which I shall race.
