英语的尽头是中文

这句话是指翻译的水平，也即表达的功力，所以这里的“英语”也可以替换成其他语种。

写作，无非是要表达眼中所见，身体所感，日有所思，夜有所想。

无论从何而来的感受或信息，转呈为中文，都是一种“翻译”。

我也曾做过三脚猫的非专业“翻译”。

其一，大约是2003年前后做过几周的全程口译。

其二，2016年前后喜欢读原版书。比如这本《Lean In》。当时还写了读书笔记：

本书作者谢丽尔·桑德伯格（Sheryl Sandberg）1969年8月26日出生于华盛顿。曾任克林顿政府财政部长办公厅主任、谷歌全球在线销售和运营部门副总裁。现任脸谱网（Facebook）首席运营官。同时，她还是福布斯上榜的前50名“最有力量”的商业女性精英之一。2013年，她荣登《时代周刊》杂志封面，并被《时代》杂志评为全球最具影响力的人物之一。目前，她已经成为千百万女性眼中集家庭与事业于一身的成功典范。

“Writing this book is not just me encouraging others to lean in. This is me leaning in. Writing this book is what I would do if I weren't afraid.”

本书文字虽然浅白，但是语句诚恳铿锵，的确很励志。

个人感兴趣的几点：

1、心理暗示。

"fake it tills you feel it"----We put on our "everything's great" smiles, and amazingly, after a few hours, it often is.

2、接纳自己。

“Allowing myself to feel upset，even really upset，and then move on----that's something I can do.”

3、选择成长型的公司。

“When companies grow more slowly or stop growing, there is less to do and too many people to not be doing them. Politics and stagnation set in, and everyone falters.”

4、不妨示弱。

“Most women believe----and research suggests----that it is not a good idea to cry at work.~~but on those rare occasions when I have felt really frustrated, or worse, betrayed, tears have filled my eyes. Even as I have gotten older and more experienced, it still happens every so often.”

5、美帝的职业女性是很苦逼滴，比如哺乳期～

At Google, I would lock my office door and pump during conference calls. People would ask, "What's that sound?" I would respond, "What sound?"~~

钱也挣得不多

“A rising star in marketing, Anna was concerned that her after-tax salary barely covered her child care expenses."

生活质量很难讲啊

"Perfection is the enemy......and she confessed that she put her children to sleep in their school clothes to save fifteen precious minutes every morning."

6、多让男人带孩子。

"And if he gets up to deal with the diaper before being asked, she should smile even if he puts that diaper on the baby's head."

"When fathers provide even just routine child care, children have higher levels of education and economic achievements and lower delinquency rates."

7、改变关注重点。

“The men were focusing on how to manage a business and the women were focusing on how to manage a career. The men wanted answers and the women wanted permission and help.”

8、职场是个攀爬架。

“Jungle gym”的概念很好，揭示出资源、人脉及协作的重要性，甚至可以联想到对不同岗位或领域的尝试。但是某公众号望文生义地将其翻译成“丛林”，由此自顾自地导向“丛林法则”，不禁让我想起朋友字幕君讲过的一个笑话。他说很多西片的翻译都是瞎编的，有次一部片的对白稿交迟了，小编弱弱地申辩道：都是法语，我得现编啊……

其三，2017-2018年翻译过几本简单的小册子。

其四，20年译诗：没有谁是一座孤岛

原诗：

没有谁是一座孤岛
