英语中动词的使用

Manny makes an appearance in the family room.
1.这里如果用comes或者shows up,感觉都不如makes an appearance。make体现出了个人意愿，Greg觉得Manny就是故意来破坏他的serious television watching.
2.serious television watching 好好看会电视；正儿八经看会电视

1.expose这个词，太有画面感了。把生活中不良行为比喻成辐射源，所以要避免暴露在其内。

1.steam comes out of ears.

1.中文里面只有“开门”，而这用answer,表达出Rowley不想hang out with Greg的态度。
