Meadow

Climbing across a narrow world’s window

Telling the story of a looming shadow

At the feet of livestock the river flow

Between hushing castle and graveyard the grass grow

我穿过世界的罅隙

来讲一个蜃影的故事：

河流穿行在牲畜脚下

寂静的城堡和墓地之间，草在生长

Strange daylight rode high in the sky

When we cross the river and meadow

The river like fire rolled by

The grass drained away their blood

异样的日光高挂 伴随着我们

当我们走过河流与草场

河流像火一样滚滚而过

草流干了血液

Castle

Sunset over the River Cam took ages

Good daylight extended until ten at night

Like a spine, attachment pierced in

Easily we forgot the miracles existing, and the miracles coming in

康河上的日落缓慢

美好的日光一直延续到夜晚十点

依恋像刺一样扎了进来

使人容易忘记自己创造过的，和即将创造的奇迹

We waited with a low town in the rainless days

A dry bone of a vole was found in an owl’s spewed pellets

On tall frames built on the unseasonable dry dust

We reached out for blue skies

我们和低矮的小镇一同等待从未到来的雨

从猫头鹰吐出的食丸里寻找出田鼠的一具干骨

在异样风干的沙尘上筑起高大的玩具

朝着蓝天伸臂

Ears filled with modern sounds from modern towns

Only now and then did we hear that old sound -

Regardless of time the river flow

The meadow born in death, but die in growth

我们耳中充斥着现代城镇的现代喧响

但是 偶尔会听见那古老的声音——

河流穿行在时间之中

草场生于死亡，而死于生长

Meadow

We were losing, gaining, interchanging

Young water never remain the same

Like the ridge stretching, cattle and sheep living

But old daylight, the same still it keeping

我们不断失落着，不断获得着，不断交换着

年轻的水永远不维持同一个形状

像山脊伸展，像牛羊生长

但年迈的日光一成不变，无可更改地一成不变

Climbing across a narrow world’s window

Telling the story of my floating below

When drifting, carry the legacy that time bestow

When growing, root in earth, cling to sunlight

我穿过世界的罅隙

来讲自己的隐秘沉浮：

当我顺水漂流，我会卷挟时间赠予的遗物

当我生长，我会扎根大地，攀紧日光向上

And grow.

生长。
