Noise
One day last December, I received an apology WeChat information from one of the Christians of our church. I was told that he must apologize to me because of his undesigned behaviors. He realized that his act may be impolite to me. However, I knew nothing about his apologized details and I didn’t feel any behaviors from him to hurt me. Then, I curiously continued to ask for the reason to him. The result was that the root cause was from me. I was sorry not to notice my negative behavior affecting the people around me.
During one preach activity from our pastor, I sat behind the Christian with another Christian to hear the sermon of the pastor. Suddenly, I asked a question to the Christian beside me. Maybe my voice was not enough lower, so he turned to see us. I just only knew and remembered this detail. After two days, I received the apology from him. He told me about the real situation. Our talking noise affected his attention, so he showed an act like blaming. More importantly, I was not aware of my low voice affecting him and other people to focus on the preach course. After I heard the real reason, I apologized to him at once. Though I thought my voice was low, but in other ears, maybe my voice was a noise and affected their thinking.
Through the case above, it gave me a warning. No matter where I go, I will pay more attention to the people around me. During the formal occasion, even if I have some important things to tell somebody, I should try my best to write note to the other party instead of speaking. As my friends said, sometimes, my voice tended to be loud. So, practicing speaking in lower voice in the public will be a required course for me in the future.
An old saying is that a person’s quality is not reflected in the suits and appearance, but his politeness, grace and culture are real from the whole heart. It is to know how to respect the rights and feelings of others while defending the freedom of the subject.
I appreciated the brother of the church giving me the reminding.
