关于手机的英语

你一天花在手机上面多长时间? 天天玩手机，肯定会碰到“欠费”、“没电”、“关机”这些情况，你知道这些用英语如何地道表达吗?

PART.01  欠费

我们常理解的“欠费”不就是没钱了吗?所以就会有人翻译成：“My cellphone has no money”

“欠费”虽然说是“钱用花了”，但是这样子表达就比较中式了，而英语里“手机欠费”的地道表达应该是：“My cellphone ran out of redit.”

run out of 用光，耗尽

credit 除了大家都知道的“信用，声誉，积分”外，还有“话费”的意思

所以，“手机欠费”在英语中就表达为“run out of credit ”或者也可以说，

“My cellphone charge is overdue.”

charge 费用，一般都是那种有账户的，在账户上进行的缴费的费用，作动词还可以指充值

overdue 逾期

PART.02  开机/关机

turn on/off your phone

power/switch on/off your phone

一般来说，如果我们想要表达电子设备的开关，比如开/关灯，开/关电视机，直接用open/close来表达，都是非常中式的表达，而地道的说法应该是“turn on/off”或“power/switch on/off”。

例：

Mobile phone must be switched off throughout the flight.

飞行过程中，请关闭手机。

打电话

PART.03  手机没电

My cell phone's out of battery.

battery是电池、电量的意思，out of battery就是没有电用完了，没有电了。可以是be out of battery，也可以是run out of battery

例：

A: Why didn't you answer my call?

你怎么不回我电话?

B: My cell phone's out of battery.

我手机没电了。
