The storm finally broke(消停) in the early evening, and Katie opened the kitchen window. The temperature had dropped and the air felt cool and clean. While pockets of(成片) mist rose from the ground, rolling clouds drifted past the moon,ringing light and shadow in equal measures, leaves turned from silver to black and to silver again as they shimmered(发微光，闪闪发光) in the evening breeze.

暴风雨终于在傍晚时分停了下来，凯蒂打开了厨房的窗户。气温下降了，空气感觉凉爽干净。一阵阵薄雾从地上升起，翻滚的云朵从月亮身边飘过，光影相映成趣，树叶在晚风中闪闪发光，从银色变成黑色，再变成银色。
