一、重点单词

1. a tiny ray of hope

ray: a very small amount，a tiny ray of hope就是 “一线希望”，快记下来

2. go off

LEAVE 离开: to leave a place, especially in order to do something 离开，走:

John decided to go off on his own.

• go off to（今日课文词义）: to leave one place to another

2. comprehensive: a type of school in Britain

3. stuff: 同义词shove

PUSH 推, [always + adv / prep] to push or put something into a small space, especially in a quick careless way 填，塞;
