叶落花黄，思念打湿了重阳

Leaves are falling and flowers are yellow, and yearning wets the Double Ninth Festival

异地登高，向着父母的山岗

I climb the heights in a different place, facing my parents’ hillock

山寒水瘦，眼前是孤独万丈

Mountains are cold and water is thin, and before my eyes is bottomless loneliness

梦里梦外，再也寻不见爹娘

Inside and outside the dream, I can never find my parents again

芳草萋萋，也是诗也是远方

Fragrant grass is luxuriant, which is not only poetry but also a distant place

灯火阑珊，夜深淡月照孤影

Lights are dim, and the pale moonlight shines on my lonely figure late at night

青春未远，父母长眠孝谁人

Youth is not far away, but to whom can I show filial piety as my parents are dead

秋风起伏，寒蝉凄切长亭晚

The autumn wind rises and falls, and cold cicadas cry sadly at night in the long pavilion

欲饮无绪，哪堪冷露绕胸间

I want to drink without a good mood, and how can I bear the cold dew around my chest

繁星闪烁，是我久违的问候

Stars are twinkling, which is my long lost greeting

金菊飘香，是我失散的重阳

Golden chrysanthemums give off fragrance, which is my lost Chongyang

秋雁声声，是冥下父母关切

Autumnal wild geese keep crying, which is the concern of my dead parents

秋虫袅袅，是祝福诗句几行

Autumn insects keep singing, which is poetic lines of blessings

阴阳长隔，亲情沉重又重阳

The living and dead are forever separated, and I’m heavyhearted thinking about my dead parents in the Double Ninth Festival
