Good day!Today is the 3rd day for our 21days reding challenge plan, cheers! 《Five Little Ducks》is the picture book I will share today.

First, let’s see the author info:

Raffi: recorded this song and children can sing the book, perfect! He published the Songs to Read series.

Jose Aruego: his illustrations can be seen in this Five Little Ducks by Raffi, as well as in the 82 children's books he wrote himself.

Ariane Dewey: with her illustrating partner Jose Aruego in this book, and who has illustrated over 60 children’s books.

This book illustrated mother duck had five little ducks, but the baby ducks disappeared one by one, and mothe duck waited for them during seasons, finally, her five little ducks came back,with their own families.I love this happy ending, and so do the children!

Reading this book, we can count the first five with children: one, two, three, four, five! And I’m sure all the children would like to count the lovely ducks! Besides, we can also ask what color is this cute duck? Pink? Right! Oh, I love this pink duck! It’s lovely! And how about this one? So, children can learn the colors with their interests.

At last, we can play games with our babies: now I am the mother duck, and you will be the little duck (or ducks), I will close my eyes, you can hide yourselves ( we should prepare some stickers for children with single color on each of them in advance), then I will search for them one by one, and say: oh, I gotcha, little red ducks! I gotcha, little green ducks! A peekaboo game, and let children learn the colors during playing games! That’s fun!
