第三章非常详细地告诉我们什么是clutter以及如何simpilify，即将多余的字词用括号框起来，而不是划掉，作者作为老师以这样的方式修改学生的文章，让学生清楚地看见作者所认为的写的多余的地方，同时又不会把学生的文章划得很难看，并且让学生自己思考，是否少了括号中的这些词，文章仍表达此种意思，让学生有充分的主动性参与进来，实在是厉害，学习学习。

第四章中学到了怎么形成自己的style，当然，一切好文章都基于有准确的词汇和句法结构。其次，你要relax和be confident, to be yourself.这几个要求也是我们能做好很多事情所必须的，在生活中我很多时候就很缺这几个品质，也希望自己能慢慢改进。作者还提到一定要开始写，不论前几段写得有多不尽人意，只管修改就是了，后面的内容会越写越好。没有开始就什么都不会发生。拖延症患者就是害怕开始，一拖再拖。其实有时候你把事情开个头，慢慢事情就能往后进行下去。
