be动词一般三种含义：是、在、被。

be动词作系动词
可翻译为“是”。
She is a doctor. 她是一名医生
Those boys are really sad. 那些男孩们是真的伤心。
Not only you but also he is wrong. 不仅你而且他也是错的。
The summer vaction last year was a great experience to me. 去年暑假对我是一次很好的经历。
be动词作助动词构成进行时态
可翻译为“在”。
The world is changing every day. 世界每天在变化。
Tony was reading the book. 托尼正在看书。
Lucy has been playing the piano for a day. 露西已经一直在弹钢琴已经一天了。

可翻译为“被”。
Those apples were eaten by my brother. 那些苹果被我弟弟吃掉了。
