Day 8: Englishpod( Daily Life ‐

8Hey, guys, I am Carla.

转眼间，没想到自己已经坚持一周啦，开心。小伙伴们有没有收获啊，如果有哪些地方我写得不好，或是有什么不理解的，一定要告诉我，我们一起进步，一起成长，特别是在排版问题上，简书的排版不像微信公众号那么自由，比较固定，为了美观也就是添加几张照片，不过我也不知道是不是自己还没挖掘出来，如果这方面有比较擅长的小伙伴，请多多指教。

B: Actually, my office is right around the corner.

A: Sure, you still have my contact details, right ?

B: You know what, this is really embarrassing, but

your name has just slipped my mind. Can you

remind me?

A: Sure, my name is Ana Ferris. Don’t worry about

it; it happens to me all the time. I’m terrible with

names too.

Okay,next part is 重点句型，单词的讲解^_^

1.right around the corner 就在拐角处

e.g. I do know a place right around the corner... full bar, comfy bed.

我倒是知道个地方，就在这个转角附近……齐全的酒吧，床很舒服。

2.in a bit of a hurry 有点匆忙

e.g. You'll enjoy your time much more if you're not constantly in a hurry.

如果你不是经常匆匆忙忙，你会更多的享受你的时间。

3.slip my mind 忘记，突然忘记了

以后我们说忘记什么东西，什么事情，就可以说 sth slip my mind.比forget地道多了。

e.g. I have been busy with my own stuff. As a result of it, the boring thing will slip my mind.

      我现在在忙于自己的事情，正是由于这个原因，此郁闷之事可以暂时离开我的记忆。

4.be terrible with name  我对人名的记性很差

e.g. I am terrible with figures. 我算数很差。
