Beethoven
1) Good morning, everyone. Today Iwill introduce a musician for you. He said, I shall seize fate by the throat. Can you guess who he is? Right, he is Ludwig Van Beethoven the one I am talking about today. Beethoven was born on 1770, which means he was on the background of enlightenment. He came froma musical family. He grandfather wasa court musician. This is a picture of his working place, the Bonn palace. Itcan be seen that Beethoven got genes from his grandfather. And his father wasthe first teacher of Beethoven. He learned the basic music knowledge from hisfather. He showed his great talent when he was young. At age of eight, he made his firstconcert, which was thought highly of by audiences. At age of 13, he got his jobin the court with well paid. Just think about it, most of us are already 18years old and still rely on our parents. What a big difference. I think thatmaybe one of the reason he was genius is that he did have early stageexperience, which equippedhim with perform skills.
2) Well, you may wonder that suchan influential figure lived in what kind of building. Here it is. This one isthe house he lived in Bonn, and the next pone is a picture of Vienna. He movedto this city at age of 22. They are fascinating, aren’t they? Beethoven composedsymphonies and concertos in those places. It must be worthwhile to pay a visit. When Beethoven was 28 years old, he found the ear disease. But most of his famous works was created at this period. How did he make it? Actually, he asked the mechanicals to make special devices that could help him feel the rhyme of the piano. And there is another version that is he bitted the stick in his mouth, he can feel the motion.
3) Beethoven once said that musicshould strike fire from the heart of men and bring tears of women. We can seethat heput his own feeling into his works, trying to attract everyone. Here are twoclips I picked up for you. I need you to immerse yourself in the music. You canclose your eyes if you want to. The first clip is from Moonlight. Another oneis from Symphony of Fate.
4) I’d like to use Beethoven’s words as the end of my presentation. Applaud, my friends, comedy I over. Thank you for your listening.
5) Any question is welcomed.
