当温柔的声音消失时，
音乐，在记忆中颤动，
当甜美的紫罗兰凋零时，
芳香，在嗅觉间萦绕。
当玫瑰凋谢时，
叶瓣，堆成爱人的床：
当你飘然远去，
爱情，将在我对你的思念中安眠。
Music， when soft voices die，
Vibrates in the memory；
Odours， when sweet violets sicken，
Live within the sense they quicken.
Rose leaves， when the rose is dead
Are heap’d for the beloved’s bed；
And so thy thoughts， when thou art gone，
Love itself shall slumber on.
