Chapter 17 The Man with Two Faces
It was Quirrell who yielded to Voldemort and dedicated himself to the cause of rebirthing Voldemort.Under the turban,Quirrell hided another face which turned out to be Voldemort.
Erised Mirror was the carrier of the Sorcerer's Stone which could only be fetched by one with the pure soul,Harry Potter.Under the guidance of Voldemort,Quirrell wanted to scramble for the stone from Harry but failed.Quirrell couldnot touch Harry's bare skin because of the protection curse on Harry and finally perished himself when he was fighting with Harry.Harry successfully defended the stone.
On the end-of-year feast,Dumbledore credited Harry,Ron,Hermione and Neville extra points each which turned Gryffindor from the last place to the first place,thus winning the House Cup in the end.
