Life without digital devices
Nowadays I use digital devices in many ways, such as : Waking me up at an alarm clock in the morning, listening to the music as a recorder taking photos as a Camera, And I used mostly is communicating with friends on wechat, And buy things on Jing dong or Alibaba And so on. And this is only for mobile phone and I also use many different kinds of other digital devices.
And I found I often felt tired and I couldn't sleep well and that just because of over using of electronics.
I surfed it on the internet And found there is a National Day of Unplugging. It's just set for encouraging people to put away their electronics for 24 hours. And I'm really interested in this Kind of holiday. So I decided to have a try.
Without any doubt, I found that the unplugged day seems longer than a common day. First of all, I saved a long time Having meals. Suddenly I found time became Longer than before. And I was not busy as usual. And my friends and I had dinner in the evening and we both discussed about how much more present we felt-- how we could hear what each other was saying.
Although living without electronics seems impossible in today's world, unplugging from time to time, allow me to slow down and reflect on life. And I also found a happy and satisfied result. That is "at the end of the day I was missing neither social media nor having a digital connection." And most exciting things to me is that I have enough time to play with my granddaughter and I have enough time to study for the education about my granddaughter. That's greatly encouraged me to reduce the time of using the electronics. I was happy for the opportunity to Challenge my unhealthy daily habits because this gave me the opportunity to discover a slower, clearer way of life.
