kick ass和kiss ass，分不清最好别乱用，用错很尴尬

今天我们学习“ass”相关的一对词组，颇为相似，但用错了怕是会被别人打噢！

1.kick ass和kiss ass

首先，“kick ass”指“了不起”；而“kiss ass”则是指“拍马屁”。虽然二者都和“ass”（屁股）有关，但是一点用错了，比如：当你夸别人时用成了“kiss ass”，那结果，只能自求多福了您呐。

例句：

A：Wow, you fixed my computer in less than 10 minutes. You’re good.

A：哇! 你不到十分钟就把我的计算机修好了呀! 你很棒!

B：Yep. I just kick ass.

B：是的! 我就是厉害!

Mary, I’m sorry for cheating on you before. Do you see any chance that we can get back together?

2.XYZ

XYZ，很有意思的缩写是不是，告诉我你在读它的时候有没有想到当初背诵字母表时候那此起彼伏的旋律“ABCDEFG……”在英语俚语中“XYZ”指“检查你的拉链”。So，如果你听到了“Hey, man. XYZ”别犹豫，请转身面向无人处整理好。

3.Hit the road

此处的“hit”可不是“击打”的意思哦，它表示的是“去”的意思。So，这个“Hit the road”指的是“上路了”。

例句：

A：Do you want to come in for some tea?

你要不要进来喝个茶呢?

B：No. I’m running late. I really need to hit the road.

不了。我快迟到了, 得上路了。

（“running late” 是快迟到了的意思）

4.hang out

hang out，出去玩儿，此处指的是“和朋友在一起”，当然不限指异性朋友。

例句：

A：I don’t know what is going on lately. Jack seems to curse a lot these days.

A：不知道最近 Jack 怎么搞的。 他经常口出恶言。

B：Well, that’s just what you get from hanging out with the wrong crowd.

5.click

click (两人)合得来，不限指异性。就像钟表的“啪嗒声”一样，只要朋友之间的节奏频率相同，也可以用这个。

例句：

I really like talking to her. I think we two really click.

6.suck

7.catch some Zs

take a dump指“上大号”，其中“dump” 是「丢掉」的意思。
