Lesson 2 Breakfast or lunch? 

It was Sunday. I never get up early on Sundays. I sometimes stay in bed until lunch time.

Last Sunday I got up very late. I looked out of the window. It was dark outside.

'What a day!' I thought. 'It's raining again.' Just then, the telephone rang. It was my aunt Lucy.' I've just arrivedby train,' she said. 'I'm coming to see you.' 'But I'm still having breakfast,'I said.

'What are you doing?' she asked. ‘I’m having breakfast,' I repeated.

'Dear me,' she said. 'Do you always get up so late? It's one o'clock!''

英语发音中的“连读”

连读:

连贯讲话自然会出现连读现象，在中文中也同样存在，例如传统的北京方言。连读主要出现在意义联系较紧的词，如冠词与名词，数词和名词，动词与副词，连接词与代名词之间。语义自然停顿的地方不用连读。连读类型:

类型（一）:辅音与下一个单词的元音连缀，使全句连贯。

文中例句：

It was dark 英  [dɑːk]  美  [dɑrk] outside 美  [,aʊt'saɪd].

“K” 和 “aʊ”连读。

练习感悟：

今天在喜马拉雅上找到了新概念英音版，才知道自己之前读的是美音版，hahahahaha!
