[M4] Do it fast

I have read three articles concerning the idea of "do it fast". The first one says making money at a low speed means a failure; the second one says what is call the artisan spirit, which usually emphasizes working slowly, is as much of brain-washing as "successology". I'd like to talk about what the third article says―learning slowly is also a syndrome.

It is absolutely right to believe in the power of accumulation. However, this belief can easily be misled to either unneccessary repetitive work or a delay of executing necessary though not urgent matters. One may say that the first stage of learning is relatively flat and thus one can get quick progross easily in this stage. This viewpoint is not wrong. The problem is that this viewpoint may unintenionally underestimate the arriving time when one meet his or her first learning gap. With fast speed, one can jump over it or else the gap will become a trap in which you can only make some attempts in vain to escape.

It is true that we have to confront more difficulties in the later stages of learning, but if we cannot or do not sovle the problems of the first stage as fast as we can, we totally have no chance to approach the more advanced problems. On the other hand, even if the problems that we meet at a later stage may become more and more difficult, if we keep advancing, we will have a higher chance of solving them than with a sluggish attitude and action. The concept of escape velocity can be a good analogy.

In my opinion, the point is that the progress can be slow, which I have to understand, but it does not mean my action can be slow. I have to accelerate my process, especially the proccess of my mind, if I really aspire to progress. First things first, and first things should be done fast.
