共济会不是阴谋论吗？

1903年，沙俄出现一本反犹太主题书籍《锡安长老会纪要》，其内容为描述所谓“犹太人征服世界”、犹太 — 共济会阴谋的具体计划^[1]。文本看起来是犹太人领袖团体 — “锡安长老会”的秘密会议记录，表示犹太人领袖们已经加入共济会，并正在策划代表所有犹太人统治世界，因为他们相信犹太人是神选之人（《圣经》旧约）（英语：Jews as the chosen people）^[2]。《锡安长老会纪要》显示该会议的结论是：“必须透过共济会和光明会实行决议，在任何层面上都不得与这两个秘密组织剥离，以免人类发现犹太人的核心”^[3]。《锡安长老会纪要》成为20世纪许多反犹太和反共济会的阴谋论文学依据，包括一些“新世界秩序”理论，并在某些当代阴谋文学中重复被引用^[4]。

他们（一些美国开国元勋）还将共济会的神圣几何设计（英语：Sacred geometry）渗透到美国社会，并暗示“共济会员是新世界秩序的建筑师”。特别是在美国国徽、一美元纸币、华盛顿纪念碑、美国国会大厦、白宫、国家广场、五角大厦的设计、华盛顿特区的街道和高速公路（英语：Streets and highways of Washington, D.C.）、以及遍布城市内的秘密基石，作为总体计划的一部分，创建第一个“共济会政府”作为“新世界秩序”的典范。^[5]

1793年9月18日，乔治·华盛顿穿戴全套的共济会徽章、礼袍，为美国国会大厦主持奠基仪式。他将一只银泥刀（代表着共济会“石匠”的身份）插入地基，再于地基的顶端做上银色标记，以共济会仪式安放奠基石。一美元纸币和国徽上也有共济会的重要符号“全视之眼”，以及多处的数字十三。^[6]

自18世纪晚期至今，所有共济会的聚集场所和建筑物外，全都看到的“全视之眼”和没有顶石的未完成金字塔（英语：Unfinished Pyramid）符号，因此美国国徽的设计者应该本来就理解这些深奥符号的意义。^[7]

自1782年开始启用的美国国徽、1935年开始启用的一美元纸币背面，都写上了拉丁语“Annuit cœptis（英语：Annuit cœptis）”和“Novus Ordo Seclorum（英语：Novus ordo seclorum）”，意思是“上帝赐予我们一切”“时代的新秩序”。^[8]这两样重要物品都暗示美利坚合众国是一个独立的民族国家，并且属于它的时代已经开始，它俩常常被阴谋论家解释为“新世界秩序”的公开密码。^[9][10][11]
