(v.)负担得起，有能力做
afford sth.
afford to do sth. 可以/有能力负担、做某事??

** weak**
a weak signal 信号差
a weak economy 经济萧条

interrupt
interrupt (v.)打断
interruption(n.)打断
disturb(v.)打扰
interrupt(v.)打断某人说话

直接引语、间接引语

• 直接引语：

1. 原话放在引号中不加改动
2. 原话前可用逗号，可用冒号，多用逗号
3. 原话后标点要放在引号内
4. 时态无需呼应
   She said,'My brother likes English.'

• 间接引语：

1. 无逗号，冒号，引号
2. 需前后呼应(人称，时态，时间、地点状语等)

My Mother said，'your brother broke it.'
My Mother said that my brother had broken it.（时态，人称）

主句动词可以根据意思的不同选择动词
常用动词：
say、tell、ask、admit、agree、reply、request、order、promise etc.

sb. told me that
sb. said that 后面有人用tell

• 特殊情况

1. 表示一般真理的，间接引语时态不变
   He asked "Which star is the biggest?"
   He asked which star is the biggest
2. 一般疑问句的时候，注意连接词的使用
   'Are you going to learn Japanese?'asked Mike.
   Mike asked me if I was going to learn Japanese.

see sb about sth.
这里的see是visit或者meet的意思

look up the word in the dictionary
look sb.<-->up 看望，拜访
