Question 1: What problems do cattle have when their staple food is corn?

Bloat is the most serious thing that can go wrong with a ruminant on corn and acidosis is also can be caused by a concentrated diet of corn. the condition can lead to diarrhea, ulcer, bloat, rumenitis, liver disease, and a weakening of the immune system that leaves the animals vulnerable to the full panoply of feedlot diseases.

Question 2: What risks can human have if people do not properly dispose the feedlot wastes?

Manure on the ground gets into our hamburgers and meat we eat. one of the bacteria that most certainly resides in the manure is particularly lethal to humans. ingesting as few as ten of these microbe can cause a fatal infection; they produce a toxin that destroys human kidneys. 

Question 3: After reading this chapter, do you want to eat industrial meat anymore?

I may stop eating industrial meat for a while but as the writer mention at the end of this chapter: the stink of this place is gone from my nostrils, i will also pick it up again. we pray no more once on the shore.

other interesting information：

cannibalism can cause serious physical problem, so cows should not be feed with beef or tallow otherwise mad cow disease would probably be found. they may diet on chicken or pork to avoid the problem. so do chickens or pig (they may eat beef or meat of other animals instead of their own) but once a chicken which is eaten by a pig has eaten the pork, may it cause a vicious circle of cannibalism?
