阅读手记|罗马神话：Cupid and Psyche

爱神丘比特Cupid与一位人间的美丽公主Psyche之间的爱情故事。

Psyche因为长得极其美丽而被爱慕者们当女神一样崇拜，甚至，人们觉得她比Venus维纳斯还要更漂亮，于是再不去Venus维纳斯的神庙了。于是，维纳斯怒了。

"Psyche is the most beautiful creature on the Earth, " her many admirers agreed. "She is even more beautiful than the goddess Venus!"

Crowds started coming to worship Psyche. This left Venus's temple cold and empty. The honor and affection that had always been shown to Venus now were directed at Psyche. Venus was enraged. 

Venus找来儿子Cupid，跟他说必须给Psyche射支箭，让她爱上这世上最可怜也最可鄙的人。

"You must use your powerful arrows to teach Psyche a lesson," Venus said. "I want you to shoot an arrow deep into her heart. I want her to fall in love with the most miserable and despicable creature in the whole world," Venus commanded. 

但Cupid在看到Psyche的第一眼就爱上了这位美丽的公主。他不想违背母亲的命令，却又不想让Psyche爱上任何一个除他以外的男人。他左右为难，便去问太阳神Apollo.
