读经笔记9：Genesis 2：8～10

创2:8耶和华神在东方的伊甸立了一个园子，把所造的人安置在那里。

Now the LORD God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man he had formed.

创2:9耶和华神使各样的树从地里长出来，可以悦人的眼目，其上的果子好作食物。园子当中又有生命树和分别善恶的树。

And the LORD God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground--trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

创2:10有河从伊甸流出来，滋润那园子，从那里分为四道。

A river watering the garden flowed from Eden; from there it was separated into four headwaters.

'e{d[en可以意为“欢愉”。这个名字似乎与苏美字edin(na)（平原，无树大平原）有关。

headwater:  the source of a stream—usually used in plural ， 在这里是象征着从圣地流出的活力。

最近听到杨弟兄说对于圣经里一句经文的理解，不可能大于对于整本圣经的理解。所以查经要注重的是上下文。从以西结书43：2节可以看出，east 在圣经中有指代荣耀的意思。

结43:2以色列神的荣光从东而来。他的声音如同多水的声音。地就因他的荣耀发光。

and I saw the glory of the God of Israel coming from the east. His voice was like the roar of rushing waters, and the land was radiant with his glory.

神为什么选择在东方设立圣地呢？神特意要在园子的当中放上两棵有特殊意义的树，这除了要专门用来训练人顺服之外，还有什么深意吗？
