PRIMARY的A.I.
Higgs
DAMIAN M. LEICH:PRIMARY
DAMIAN M. LEICH:
First of all, could you give a brief introduction of PRIMARY /rent24?
DAMIAN M. LEICH:PRIMARY is the first tokenized business network that incentivizes professionals to build connections with their counterparts around the world. Our vision is to create a blockchain based decentralized market-network on which digital professionals can exchange knowledge, goods and services. The platform was initiated by rent24, the European market leader for coworking and coliving spaces, with over 50 locations worldwide.
Higgs百佬荟:What’s the key value of PRIMARY /rent24?
DAMIAN M. LEICH:PRIMARY will have 100,000 active users from the day it launches. These initial users will include members of our coworking and coliving facilities around the world – a diverse group of young professionals, venture capitalists and entrepreneurs from the digital industry. This will only be the beginning, however, as our platform has been designed as a decentralized application (dApp) which will welcome every PRY token holder who wishes to join the network. PRIMARY’s A.I. engine will connect providers of digital services with potential customers and constantly match community members with companies relevant to their interests and background.
Higgs百佬荟:What has been your biggest challenge?
DAMIAN M. LEICH:One big challenge is educating our user base on the advantages which blockchain technology offers and the means of actualizing them. We have community members from a wide range of fields with different levels of understanding of blockchain. To overcome this challenge and create acceptance across our members, we host a lot of blockchain meetups, conferences and panel discussions. We have also put in a lot of effort in UX design to keep our platform’s interface as simple and intuitive as possible for all of our users.
Higgs百佬荟:What's the relationship between PRIMARY and rent24? How does rent24 add value to the PRIMARY platform?
DAMIAN M. LEICH:rent24 is the initiator and first adopter of the PRIMARY project. As the leading European provider of coworking spaces, rent24 adds not only a huge international member base to the network, but also physical infrastructure all over where community members can meet, connect, join events, work or simply grab a coffee with a business partner. The best example is our very own Blockchain Hub in Berlin.
Higgs百佬荟:Does the market work well and how do you deal with those problems?
DAMIAN M. LEICH:Thankfully, the blockchain space has been maturing this year and will offer numerous opportunities to well thought out projects. It is the year of real blockchain use cases and sustainable concepts, which is a very healthy development. When we started with the PRIMARY project, we knew it requires more than a smart idea to be successful and convince investors and strategic partners. We feel well prepared and have gotten in touch with many important players within the blockchain space. We host several blockchain events each week in our locations all around the world.
Higgs百佬荟:What's the current stage of PRIMARY? For example, product strategy, roadmap and vision.
DAMIAN M. LEICH:We are currently in the private pre-sale stage of the project and have already gotten some notable partners and investors on board. In recent weeks our team has reached out to the Asian market and intends to also establish physical infrastructure for our project over there. It is certainly the region with the strongest engagement and progress in blockchain technology.
In terms of the development, we have finalized our wallet, crypto exchange function as well as our payment system. We are also currently testing crypto payment terminals at three of our locations. The next step on the roadmap is to finalize our AI matchmaking engine and start migrating our community members onto the dApp. This will be done by March of next year.
Higgs百佬荟:How does PRIMARY integrate the blockchain industry and coworking space?
DAMIAN M. LEICH:We see ourselves as a tech-company, not a real estate focused business. This is what differentiates us from our main competitors. We see coworking as a collaborative enterprise, and don’t see a need to limit these benefits to a single location or even a single coworking provider. Our rapid expansion was only possible through a partnership-based approach which creates a strong and sustainable network. It is for this reason that we welcome other providers of coworking spaces to join the PRIMARY platform.
The next logical step is to shift to a new mode of work which leverages the advantages of decentralized organization – such as greater flexibility and innovation. It is no surprise that large established tech-companies have been as keen to work in our spaces as young start-ups. There is a consensus among tech professionals that this is more than just a trend, but rather the future of work.
Higgs百佬荟:Could you please share your view on the trend of the blockchain industry?
DAMIAN M. LEICH:One trend we will definitely see is that the success of only those projects which provide real value, clear use cases and a trusted team will be guaranteed. It will consequently become hard for half-baked ideas and projects to find enough supporters, investors and talented developers. This will lead to three very positive outcomes. Firstly, there will be an increase in adoption among the few projects in the space which offer real value. Secondly, as the market matures regulatory authorities will be more inclined to develop clearer guidelines on launching projects in this space. Finally, there will be a sharp decline in doubtful projects and ponzi schemes which have given the blockchain industry in general, and crypto space in particular, an unsavory reputation among some economic authorities.
Higgs百佬荟:What’s the difference between blockchain projects in China and Europe?
DAMIAN M. LEICH:China has a tremendous amount of well talented young professionals which are familiar with blockchain technology. Meanwhile in Europe, it is getting harder and harder for blockchain startups to find well educated and trained experts on blockchain technology. China also benefits from a rapidly digitizing society which will facilitate blockchain tech adoption moving forwards.
On the other hand, Europe is slowly getting more and more crypto friendly. Governments and regulatory authorities have started opening up to this technology and accelerate it rather than slowing down the progress with having to many regulations in place. Malta and the Baltic states are very open minded in regard to blockchain and crypto. Switzerland and Germany, usually seen as rather conservative, have changed recently and loosened a lot of regulations. For example, Germany just recently dropped the requirement for crypto traders to have a e-banking license and the Swiss canton of Zug has set up a regulatory sandbox for cryptocurrency projects.
Higgs百佬荟:What do you think of Security Tokens? And why?
DAMIAN M. LEICH:Interest in security tokens has sky rocked over the past few months. There is a simple reason for this phenomenon: investors want more tangible value and greater control over risk. Security tokens can be a solution for this need in the market.
The main advantages are that STO offer a higher degree of liquidity than traditional venture capital, as well as a lower barrier to entry than issuing shares via an IPO. However, there is still a lot of ground work to do in regards of providing the right infrastructure (e.g.exchanges) and regulatory guidance.
