Never say impossible
When the news reached Joab, who had conspired with Adonijah though not with Absalom, he fled to the tent of the Lord and took hold of the horns of the altar. –1-Kings 2:28
Joab could stand up in the great trial, and remained faithful unto David, and not to follow Absalom, who was ambitious and deceived the world. However, in his old age, he followed the covetous Absalom. So, we must be alert; one man can go backwards like Joab; equally, all men may fall back. Did you make it through the hard time? Now focus on the smallest things; Pay attention to the least noticed thing.
We will be very casual to say: “Since we have experienced a big test, we will not return to the secular life and still keep on nostalgia for the world.” Do not presume to know the source of temptation; the most unlikely thing is often the deadliest. After a major spiritual transformation, the temptation to remain hidden begins to appear. It’s not obvious, but it’s there, and if you’re not alert, you will trip up. You who were pure and faithful to God under the test of fire watch out for the dark tide. But instead of groaning, introspecting and fearing the future, just stay alert and have a clear ability in front of God. Without the defense, the strength will be weak, and the dark tide will come in and cause the defense to collapse. Many biblical characters fail on their strengths, not their weaknesses.
The only way to be safe is to be protected by divine power.
Dear God, today I will speak in your name; let it spread out by your power. Let my soul truly know you; and let me concentrate only upon you in all deep and ultimate senses.
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. --- 1-Corinthians 10:13
