A Wild Boy and the Hibiscus Tea
2020/08/19
Fort Lauderdale
Part I Through my eyes
She is having a hibiscus tea
Sitting at Ann’s florist by the street
Thinking of a wild boy named Joey Charles B
4000 miles away building a beautiful World and an Empire Imposing
Just like him
She gazes away and accidentally
Kissing her cup sipping the tea
That she has been yearning for
A streak of madness mixed with simplicity
That is
Her crimson lipstick signets on the brim
Oh she is shy
The sweet little cup
You see
Her beige cheek turns into rosy somehow
The girl leans in and looks into the tea cup
She sees a vision playing on the cinnamon rind half floating and half soaking
The summer rain is drizzling unto her tip of nose and shoulder
The power of Miss Magic grows prosperously in the images' wide-open eyes
There she enters a fable-atmosphere fairytale a certain kind
A girl is tiptoe-ing
She pecks a boy on the forehead
The tall wild boy turns giddy
In the turn of a hand
As the tea cup did,now sitting in serenity on the marble table
He takes her hands and swirls to dance above the water
Within a few umdrehend
she is vertiginous and falling into his arms
Now they are sailing on their boat
Part II In my eyes
If I continue to watch the two to conquer the world
Letting me infatuate deeply
I would end up being drawn to the kaleidoscopic dancing and sailing
I impulsively look up and gaze further into the street
Someone happens to walk towards me and salutes
Oh It’s him
The boy who was dancing on the tea proscenium and sailing with her
Tattooed Lion of Judah, in jubilant roar
With wind howling in the background
I see the ocean kisses them blusterously as joyful kids
Embracing everything from their faces to their toes with such a sunshine warmth
Leaving all the pore in awe and breathless
Part III In her and his voice
Sunset light beams through the ocean
Through Las Olas Boulevard, and all over the palm trees
Penetrating layer after layer
Right on the face of the wild boy and his girl
Carving out their sharp and beautiful face contours
In gold
He beams:
It’s you
You are my wild girl
From the East of my dream
That I have never met
She looks into his eyes, teneramente:
Would you like a cup of hibiscus tea?
Hot or iced?
