My favorite foreign food is durian.

我最喜欢的外国食物是榴莲。

from Southeast Asia

来自东南亚

looks scary with many thorns

看起来毛骨悚然，荆棘丛生

is known as the king of fruits

被誉为东南亚的水果之王

inside it is golden flesh

里面是金黄色的肉

is usually made into biscuits, candy and pies

通常被制成饼干、糖果和馅饼

the first time I ate it

我第一次吃它

on a trip to Thailand with my family

和家人去泰国的一次旅行

a special food in Thailand

在泰国是一种特殊的食物

it is delicious

它很好吃

had an awful smell

味道很难闻

took a small bite

咬了一小口

out of curiosity

好奇地

covered my nose while eating it

边吃边捂住鼻子

to my surprise

令我惊讶的是

tasted sweet and soft

尝起来又甜又软

the unique  taste

独特的味道

so inviting that

如此诱人以至于

I could not help eating more

我忍不住吃了更多。

Although durian is delicious, it is very expensive.

虽然榴莲很好吃，但是很贵。

Even a small one may cost over 200 yuan.

即使是很小的一个也要200多元。

always says “no" when I serve him

当我端给他吃的时候，他总是说“不”

Because he knows it's my favorite and wants to save the best for me!

因为他知道它是我最喜欢的，并且想把最好的留给我！

That's another reason why I like durian best.

这也是我最喜欢榴莲的另一个原因。

It not only has a special taste, but also shows my parents' love for me.它不仅有特别的味道，而且也显示了我父母对我的爱。
