Pu-wee, pu-wee, pu-wee!
Cuckoo-coo, cuckoo-coo, cuckoo-coo!
In red, in gold,
In dark, in grey.
On the grass, on the twigs.
Within sight, deep in the mountains.
The grand gathering of the birds kingdom!
Free of worry, they are merry.
Where were these creatures from really?
Who gave them the sweet voices?
Who made them the splendid clothes?
How I wish I were one of them!
