Pushing up daisies入土

2月1号是我的生日，今天早上谈起生日和新年，老公问我要什么。我说什么都不要，不要庆祝生日，因为这会提醒我自己又老了一岁。婆婆说You should be happy that we are still celebrating. If we stop celebrating your birthday, you will be pushing up daisies. 我老公说我肯定不知道push up daisies这是什么意思。我说还真不知道。他就说就表示你死了被埋葬到土里了，上面长出了雏菊，也就是入土的意思。其它的两个例子：

Another year of this idle life, I'll be pushing up daisies. 再闲上这么一年，我就要入土了。

I shall be pushing up daisies by the time the project is finished. 等到这项目完成时，我早已入土了。
