Walk And Run
My friend and I walked about 10 kilometers today and I couldn’t feel my legs after I came home. But it’s not so tiring for me run over 10 kilometers and I’ll be more energetic. How unusual. We walked about over 10 kilometers two weeks ago in Weihai and I was also very tired and I spent about 3 days to make my legs recover from pain. I don’t know if any others have the same experience. I thought about it for many times but couldn’t search out one reason.
While I’m running, I only focus on my next step but while walking, my attention is distracted by the surroundings or I have to talk with others. I have only one goal while running which forces me to utilize all my power well. While walking, my power is distracted which means I waste more power by walking than running the same distance. And this is the only reason I could figure out.
It’s the same with my weekdays and weekends. During weekdays, I put all my energy on job affairs and I could spend time more efficiently. But on weekends, my attention is attracted by so many noises and I couldn’t put all my energy on my job affairs. So if I have to finish one same thing at one weekday and one weekend, I’ll get more tired if I do it on weekend.
I always have to fight with the distractions every day. Once I’m held by the annoying surroundings, I’ll waste to much valuable energy. Aside from creating an undisturbed surrounding, I have to create a more tense pace which could make me more concentrate on what I'm doing.
