Hometown

In my hometown have the largest hydropower station in the world. I often go to the Three Gorges and Gezhouba Dam in my childhood.
This city is Hubei Yichang,a beautiful and comfortable tourist city.

SCADA

Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) is a control system architecture that uses computers, networked data communications and graphical user interfaces for high-level process supervisory management, but uses other peripheral devices such as programmable logic controllers and discrete PID controllers to interface to the process plant or machinery. The operator interfaces which enable monitoring and the issuing of process commands, such as controller set point changes, are handled through the SCADA computer system. However, the real-time control logic or controller calculations are performed by networked modules which connect to the field sensors and actuators.

The hydropower station computer monitoring system adopts an open hierarchical distributed structure, and the overall structure is divided into two layers: the whole plant control layer and the local control layer.  The control layer of the whole plant mainly includes: operator station, engineer station, dispatching communication server, data server, satellite time-to-time system, related network equipment and network security equipment.  The local control layer mainly includes: the local control unit of the unit, the local control unit of the switch station, the local control unit of the public equipment, and the local control unit of the gate.

The main components of the local control unit:  main controller: programmable logic controller (PLC);  local man-machine interface: touch screen;  communication management device: MOXA UC-7410;  intelligent acquisition instrument: AC sampling table, Multi-function watt-hour meter, etc.
