Tears Flying On Qixi Festival (Chinese Valentine’s Day)

露珠自高高的天庭落下

Dewdrops fall from the high heaven

那是牛郎肩挑儿女的汗珠

Those are drops of sweat spilled by Niulang shouldering his children

那是织女思儿念夫的眼泪

Those are tears shed by Zhinu missing her children and husband

包含了太多心酸的泪滴汗珠

The drops of tears and sweat containing too much sadness

似流星划过苍穹

Like meteors streaking across the sky

落在葡萄架下偷听者的心中

Falling on the hearts of eavesdroppers under the grape trellis

愿通往相会的路途

May the road to the rendezvous

如这露珠般晶莹

As bright as the dewdrops

不再有愤怒的银簪划过天庭

No angry silver hairpin would streak across the sky

这一年一度的七夕

The annual Qixi Festival, Chinese Valentine’s Day

牛郎织女相会鹊桥中

When Niulang and Zhinu meet on the Magpie Bridge

看这呼儿唤女的天伦之乐

Look at the joy of family reunion

泪洒银河惊诧了喜鹊

Tears’ falling in the Milky Way surprises the magpies

鹊桥承受不了泪珠的沉重

The Magpie Bridge can't bear the weight of tears

天河也为之哽咽停滞

The Milky Way also chokes and stagnates for it

人间情侣重温一遍

这流传千古的爱情传奇

Lovers in the world revisit the love legend
