The sacrifice
“When they came to the place of which God had told him, Abraham built the alter there and laid the wood in order and bound Isaac his son and laid him on the altar, on top of the wood.” Genesis22:9
From the above scriptures, the event reflects our sins. We think that God’s final requirement to us is the death sacrifice. However, the sacrifice God wants is that we can experience the death of sins and make our behaviors like Jesus. It is not that “I’d like to die with you together.”, but “I’d like to devote my life for the Lord.”
We seem to think that God always requires us to lose all things, as the Lord corrected Abraham’s mistakes. We need all our life to learn for the course the Lord taught Abraham, because the event also happened to us. God never lets us sacrifice for the sacrifice, but God wants us having some sacrifices, so that we can get the shared life with God. So, we must unlock the rope binding our life. Once we’d like to sacrifice our life for God to unlock the rope, we can communicate with God and keep on a good relationship.
If we sacrifice our life for the death, it will be worthless for God. He wants us as a living sacrifice to give Him. God is pleased, if we believe Jesus and receive Him as our savior to get all wisdoms and energies.
