  A. PM procedures
  B. Replacement procedures for the Vision System

IConn Optics Removal

Connections removal:

• IIIumination Board Connector
• Tensioner Assembly
• Tensioner Fitting air quick disconnects
• Thermocouple wire
• Tensioner and LED Cooling Fittings

Optics Mounting Alignment

• Loosen 4 mtgt screws,2 screws on cable bar(allows optics to move freely)
• Tightening torque for 4 mounting screws -20 in lb

Camera Heads Removal

• Loosen clamp screws,Remove p-Clip screws on cable bar,p-Clips in upper console,connectors on Matrox box

  
  

Camera Head Connection Diagram

Camera Head Mounting/Adjustment

• Loosen Clamping screw.
• Keep camera bnnched forward against insulating mount.
• Rotate camera head util crosshair aligns with XY ttable motion

• Ensure the Slotted openings of the plastic shoulder bush and camera clamp should be aligned so that the plastic shoulder bush is fully tightened with the camera.

  
  

Vertical Illumination

• Vertical Adjustments and FRUs
• FRU consists of LED/Lens/Heatsink/Cable

Vertical Illumination Replacement

Removal

• Disconnect the Vertical Illumination Connector from the Illumination Interface board. J2 for Blue LED and J3 for Red LED.
• Remove two (2) screws and washers that secure the Vertical illuminator.

Installation

• Place the new Vertical illuminator on top of the Vertical Spacer Plate.
• Install it on the Vertical Illumination Housing using the screws and washers previously removed. Do not tighten yet.
• Connect the Vertical Illumination connector to Illumination Interface Board. J2 for Blue LED and J3 for Red LED.
• Adjust the Vertical Illuminator Jacking Screws so that Vertical Illumination is centered on the video image of the bond site.
• Tighten the two (2) screws in the alignment plate to 25 oz. in. (0.18 Nm).

Oblique illumination

Oblique FRU-consists of Lens/Bd assy,Heatsink.Cabling/Tubing

Oblique Illumination Replacement

Removal –

• Disconnect Oblique Illumination Connector from the Illumination Interface board. J4 for Oblique LED.
• Remove captive screw and washers.
• Remove the LED cooling tubing.

Installation –

• Insert the cooling tubes into the replacement Oblique LED Assembly.
• Place the Oblique Illuminator at its mounting location under the Vertical Illumination Housing.
• Ensure to bench the illuminator by turning it in a clockwise direction (viewed from the underside of the optics assembly).
• Install the captive screw to secure the Oblique Illuminator to the Vertical Illumination Housing. Tighten the screw.
• Connect the replacement Oblique Illumination Connector to the Illumination Interface board. J4 for Oblique LED.
