来了解一下alternative的用法

alternative [ɔːlˈtɜːnətɪv] n.二选一（选择或方法）/adj.可替代的

 

高频结构：作为...的替换

1. as an alternative

2. as an alternative to sth

3. as an alternative to doing sth

(PS: to是介词哟~)

 

例1：有声读物是一种可替代纸质阅读的有趣方法。

Audiobook is an interesting alternative to paper reading.

例2.电子书是一种可替代看书的方便方式。

E-book is a conventient alternative to paper reading. (PS:使用了to sth结构）

例3.科学家正在研究一种治疗这种疾病的替代方法。

Scientists are studying/developing an alternative approach to treating this disease.  (PS:使用了to doing sth结构）

例4.我们一直在寻找常规治疗的替代方法，但似乎没有其他的选择。

We have been looking for alternatives to the usual treatment, but it seems there are few options.  (PS:使用了to sth结构）
