A Happy Handy Man
Ken used to be a fabrication worker, making metal gates,rails and latches. Like many other Australians after retirement, he could not help, but continue to keep his hands dirty and busy, doing something he loves.
Oil tin and drain filter are recycled and reusedUnlike others, he dedicates his hobby to making guitars, using whatever recycled materials available around him - timber leftovers, metal scraps, flawed bolts and nuts, chucked away plastic, to just name a few. He has the skills and passion to turn trash into treasure.
A banjo and a guitar made of plastic lid and biscuit tinDuring weekdays, he meticulously works on his toys. At weekends, more often than not, he drives his old van, with his wife, to local markets, where he meets people of common interest, entertains the general public with his hand crafted guitars. Making money, obviously to him, is the side-line benefit of what he is doing.
