名词性从句：用一个从句取代了名词；
- 主语从句：用从句取代名词作主语（大部分主语由名词充当）。
- 宾语从句：用从句取代了名词作宾语（宾语一般是名词充当的）。
- 表语从句：···· 同上
- 同位语从句：····· 同上
一个从句的性质取决于它的位置，而不是引导词；

- that 一般无意义
- who 谁
- whether 是否
- where 何地
- when 何时
- why 为何
- how 如何
- what 什么
- whatever 究竟什么
主语从句
在复合句中担任主语的从句，就是主语从句；
主语可以由 从属连词，连接代词，连接副词引导。
A 爱那个女孩是很明显的。
A love the girl is obvious.
It is obvious that A love the girl.
It 形式主语 + 倒装 ；
为什么倒装呢，因为 英语中不习惯头重脚轻，习惯于先说一个点，然后去修饰它。所以这里用倒装; 但又不能没有主语，这里的 It 就称为 形式主语，指代后面 that 引导的从句 也就是 A love the girl.
上面的 It is obvious that A love the girl. 就是一个典型的 That 引导的主语从句
That 引导
这里的 That 无中文意思。
- It be + 名词 + that
- It be + 形容词 + that
- It be + 过去分词 + that
- It + 不及物动词 + that
上面的几种 都可译为 “什么什么事 怎么怎么着了； It is ···· that ····”
It 一般就是指代 that 引导的从句。
It be + 名词 + that
It is a common belief that language is a vehicle of culture.
It is a fact that .....(····是事实)
It is a honor that ..... （····是荣耀）
It be + 形容词 + that
It is necessary that the boy love that girl.
It is natural that ····（····是自然的）
It be + 过去分词 + that
没有主语可考虑被动语态；
这里使用 过去分词 可 译为 ···被
It is report that .....( 什么什么 被报道了)
It is said that ......( ····被 说了)
It + 不及物动词 + that ....
It seems that development of tourism can promote cross-cultural communication.
似乎旅游业的发展能促进跨文化交流。
It seems that .... (····似乎)
It occurs to sb that .... (让某人想起)
What / whatever 引导
What / Whatever 是有一个相对的含义的；
What 表 什么（东西）
Whatever 表 不论什么 或者 究竟什么 。
What you said made me happy.
What you did made me happy.
What you bought made me happy.
表语从句
只要是 " be " 被译为 “是” 那么后面的从句就是表语从句。
This is why TV commercials are regarded as rubbish.
这就是为什么电视广告被认为是垃圾的原因。
宾语从句

动宾：动词后面的宾语从句

介宾：介词后面的宾语从句

形宾：形容词后面的宾语从句；此时的形容词表达的是一个动作

Experts predict that half of the world's languages will be extinct in 100 years.
专家预测世界上一半语言100年后会消失。
Experts predict 为主谓语；后面that引导的就是宾语从句。这里是主谓宾句型。
- whether 引导的动词的宾语从句
I wonder whether the practice can hold water.
我不知道这种做法是否说得通。
can hold water 是一个 习语：说得通；
- what 引导的动词的宾语从句
People do not know what will happen to minority language in the future.
人们不知道少数名族语言未来会怎样。
同位语从句
先说一下同位语：解释名词的短语 就是同位语，必须是名词，译为 “也就是···”
再看同位语从句：用从句替代名词作同位语；
从外形上看 同位语从句是一个完整的句子（前提是that 引导的）。
从功能上看 是为了解释前面的名词（前提是that 引导的）； 翻译为“也就是 ···”。
I knew the fact that Michael Jackson was dead.
我知道了这个事实（ 也就是） 迈克尔杰克逊已经死了。
that 后面引导的从句 就是为了解释前面我已经知道的那个事实。
There is evidence that English has became the dominant language online.
有证据 （也就是）英语已经成为网络上的主要语言了。
