Stories for boys 男孩故事

周日在图书馆借到一本书，《Stories for boys》，英文版本的。
想着家有一男孩子，就拿回来带着孩子一起读读，顺便巩固下自己的英语知识，不看不知道，一看吓一跳，原来好多单词都忘记了，看起来似曾相识，却不知深意，这样看来，不仅是为了孩子，更是为了自己，也要把这本英文书啃下来了；

原文： INTRODUCTION
Stories have always been a way to involve kids into self-study and inquisitive thinking. They give them a vent to explore and experiment with their imaginative and innovative skills. Not only kids, but grown-ups also start making stories instantly after they read one. Apart from stories about fairies, kings and queens, kids prefer reading stories that give them thrill and enjoyment. The stories that present some real-life incidents and happenings are best read for they are didactic in nature. The present book presents a wide variety of stories about boys, they present a range of adventures and experiences boys go through and finally pull themselves with confidence and determination. Indeed, every story fills the reader with a desire to overcome weakness and emerge as a winner. While readers enjoy the stories on literal level, it would be much more rewarding to dig beneath the surface.

当读者从文学层面上欣赏这些故事时，会从故事表面挖掘到深层次的奖励。

就这样，晚上下班回来把序言上面不会的单词重新学习了下，句子连贯起来了解，对这本书后面的故事充满了期待，还没开始亲子阅读，也已经成功吸引了孩子的注意力，应该是因为看起来印刷较大的字体间距配上故事的图片，让孩子也开始期待对本书的学习了，我需要加油先自己弄懂这些故事，方便与孩子一起学习探讨。
