My life as 1980s in China
The world rolls on and the time presses. I was born in 10th may,1984 in a simply poor rural area of northern part in Guangdong province,China. The memory towards my childhood rooted in my brain was so little and due to fact that nearly no or few photos been reserved since then that when looking back upon my own old days I had to turned to my mother who was a genuinely typical Chinese peasant with their deep and pure heart to work at lands for almost the whole life for her oral debris about my infant times and that of before my clear one that may be dated back to my junior days when I was about 10.
The movement of reform and opening up policy of China initiated by the third-generation Party leaders since the end of 1970s had lasted for about more than 6 years which definitely of course affected the life of peasants who had gone through the great suffering during the so called old society that is the days before the foundation of new China in 1949. We had always been taught from our first day at school usually at the age of 6 with 9 years of compulsory education until your junior school but which was not discharged of any tuition of schooling by government forces and was a great burden for my parents that we should always obey the rules of the old and respected, we should be good-hearted and honest following the Confucius 'teaching to love others and be willing to offer help, but what hurt and made us sad was that something differentiated between us and the generation of our parents or the latter 1990s or even 2000s was so significant that seemingly we should have abandoned or forgotten the concept of fairness and even the meaning of reality and truth. From this aspect, the generation of 1980s like us can be called the generation of tragedy in every part but except the second descendants of the firstly riched or the officials.
