释义：to perform in a specified way in a particular situation or over a particular period 

“fare”可以作名词也可以作动词，作名词最常见的意思是“票价”。作动词的意思是“进行、表现”，比如我们说一个人或一家公司过得怎么样，除了用 do，perform 等词，还可以用 fare。这个意思虽然简单，用法也很单一，但却是很多英语学习者很少能想得起的地道用法。fare 后面一般接 well, badly, better, poorly 这样的副词。
