小伙伴们有没有这种经历，跟native speaker聊天或者出国玩儿一趟，怀疑自己是学了假英语，完全听不懂满大街的人在说什么！为啥歪果仁说的英语，和我们学的完全不一样呢？不要急，宝宝们看过来，将这30条英语地道口语表达收进自己的口语库，用起来，成为国际化的中国小公民！！
1. I beat you to it.
beat somebody to it:
比某人抢先一步做了某事。
▷I was just about to open some wine but I see you've beaten me to it.
我刚想开瓶酒呢，看来你抢在我前头开了啊。
2. Jimmy stood me up last night.
stand someone up:
放某人鸽子；爽约。
▷He stood up his date while he played basketball with the guys.
他因为和基友们打篮球，放了女朋友的鸽子。
3. It will come to me.
it will come to someone:
会想起来的。当你在忘了什么事的时候，可以说这句话。
▷It'll come to you. The minute you stop trying to find it, it will find you.
你会想起来的。你不去费劲去找它的时候，它就会自动出现。
4. Just a heads up.
a heads up:
给某人提个醒，提前告知一声。
“Heads up”说法来自体育运动，在扔球前，让对方抬头，别被砸着。后来广泛用于社交场合。
▷Just a heads up - we're going to have to meet soon.
先跟你说一声，我们很快会见面的。
5. You might want to reconsider it.
you might want to (do something):
建议某人做某事的礼貌说法。适用于各种场合，是对陌生人、同事或亲密的人都可以用的句法。
▷Babe, you might want to trim that beard...
亲爱的，你是不是该修修胡子啦……类似地，告诫对方不要做某事，可以说，you don't want to...
▷You don't want to rush things.
不要操之过急。
6. I was like, "What?!"
(someone) was like...
口语中用于表达某人的一种反应，比如说的话或思想活动。
▷ I saw it on her face – she was like "Yo,
leave me out of this!"
7. We nailed it!
nailed it
圆满完成某件事，或说得完全正确。Nail本意是钉钉子。
▷That's so true. He's nailed it.
确实如此，他的观点一针见血。
Kill it也可以指事情完成得超乎意料地好。
▷ Louise has been killing it!
路易斯干得漂亮！
8. I couldn't agree more.
couldn’t agree more
“不能更同意”，表示强烈同意对方的观点。
强烈不同意也能说couldn't disagree more。
▷- I think that this is a great opportunity.
- I couldn’t agree more.
-我觉得这是一个非常好的机会。
-完全赞同。
9. Who are you to talk?
who... to talk?
表示某人没有资格发表意见或批评别人，因为他/她自己也做得不够好。
▷He's so disorganized. But who am I to talk? I can't even keep track of what day of the week it is.
他超级迷糊。不过我也好不到哪去，我连今天是星期几都搞不清。
10. Don't get all impatient.
在口语表达中，形容词前加一个all，可以增强感情色彩，通常是表达负面情绪。
▷He gave me his old computer, but it's all old and crappy.
他把自己的旧电脑给我用，但是那电脑又老又破。
11. You bet!
you bet
意思是“You can bet money on that”（你可以压钱赌一把），说明你完全同意对方的观点、提议等。
▷ -May I borrow your hammer?
可以借你的锤子用下么？
-You bet!
当然！
12. What? That's nuts!
That's nuts!
Nuts是非常口语化的表达，表示“crazy”疯了。
▷-We hiked 45 miles in two days.
我们两天徒步走了45英里。
-Whoa, that's nuts! Really?
哇~太疯狂了！真的吗？
13. Oh, that sucks!
(something) sucks
在谈论糟糕的、让人失望的、不幸的事情 时，人们常用这个表达。正式场合慎用。
▷My computer sucks! I need to get a new one.
我的电脑糟糕透了！我要买个新的。
14. I'm keeping my options open.
keep one's options open:
等待中，尚未做决定。Option是选择、选项。
▷I want to keep my options open, so I didn't sign the contract yet.
我想再等等看，所以还没签合同。
15. When's it due?
due:
通常指交作业、交账单的最后期限。
▷When is this paper due?
论文要什么时候交？
另外，如果due的对象是人，那么意思多半指预产期。
▷When are you due?
你啥时候生？
16. There is just no such thing as God.
There is just no such thing as... :
某种情况是不存在的。
▷There's no such thing as love. It's just fantasy.
根本没有“爱情”这回事。不过是你的幻想而已。
17. I get yelled at all the time.
get yelled at:
字面意思就是被人吼，被人骂。指受到批评、责骂。
▷I got yelled at for not calling.
我没打电话，被骂了。
18. It's on me.
it's on me:
我来付账。也可以说，This one's on me.
▷John: Check, please.
你好，结账。
Bill: No, it's on me this time.
别啊，这顿我请。
19. My computer is acting up again.
act up
（疾病）发作；（机器）出毛病；（孩子）调皮捣蛋。
▷My left knee acts up in damp weather.
天气一潮我左膝盖就发作。
20. It doesn't hurt to ask.
it doesn't hurt to:
做某件事有百利而无一害。
▷It doesn't hurt to have a group of talented, educated people living in your community.
小区里住着一群有才、有教养的人没什么不好的。
21. I'm just looking.
just looking...
表示随便看看，是购物时遇到推销的导购，最好的回答。
▷-Hi, can I help you?
你好，需要帮忙吗？
-No thanks, I'm just looking!
不用了，谢谢，我就随便看看。
22. Busboy
餐馆勤杂工
▷ He was a busboy, a dishwasher, a caterer and a manager.
他曾是餐馆勤杂工、洗碗工、酒席承办者和经理。
23. Dry goods
纺织品
▷The floor was stacked high with bales of dry goods.
地板上高高地堆放着许多包纺织品。
24. Wash one's hands
上厕所
▷Where can I wash my hands?
请问洗手间在哪里？
这个委婉表达属于美国用法，如果在欧洲这么问，别人可能会直接理解为字面意思。类似的表达还有，Where can I powder my nose?英式英语中，spend a penny可以作为“上厕所”的委婉语。
又：wash one's hands of something / someone表示金盆洗手，和某事、某人断绝关系。
25. Personal remark
人身攻击
▷ Did you have to make such a personal remark about her new haircut?
你非要攻击她的新发型吗？
26. All right, whatever. Suit yourself.
Suit yourself:随你便吧，你自己决定。这 可以是中性的表达，但如果语气重一点，就是在说，爱咋咋地，我不管了。
▷ -I'm too tired to go out tonight.
我今晚太累，不想出去玩了。
-Suit yourself.
随你便。
27. I'm so out of it this morning.
(someone) is out of it：指某人不在状态。
▷You seem kind of out of it today.
你今天看起来好像不太在状态啊。
28. Can you please cut it out.
cut it out：当别人在做一些令你心烦的事情，你就可以让他cut it out，意思就是你能停下来吗。
▷ I'm sick of that joke. Cut it out, will you?
我不喜欢那个玩笑，你能不能别说了？
29. I'm just looking.
just looking...
表示随便看看，是购物时遇到推销的导购，最好的回答。
▷-Hi, can I help you?
你好，需要帮忙吗？
-No thanks, I'm just looking!
不用了，谢谢，我就随便看看。
30. Hold on. Just hear me out first.
hear someone out:
听某人说完他想说的，或者，倾听某一方的说法。
▷Let him talk! Hear him out! Listen to his side!
让他说！听他说完！看看他怎么说！
▷Hear out the witness. Don't jump to conclusions.
我们要所有证人的证词都听一遍，不要武断下结论。
