Spring Hiking
By Bai Hua
To stay at home, hikers don't really want it
A frog squats under a parasoltree, and
what happened to the mule cannot give birth
it goes round and round pulling the mill
And how did it come into the material?
I see the teacher pitching a ball
I see a poetic man with a handful of sand
a vegetarian grinding walnuts into powder
children running past holding the kite string
Nevertheless, the elderly means an order.
One broken-hearted but immediately on the horizon.
"April 21, 1858.
A desirable day. In the garden, at the
well, making love to peasant women.
Just like so absorbed in it, I was."
Yes, Tolstoy, it was the very day
so good. After reading your diary ......
Could there be anything more fantasy?
The purity of morality comes from
snow-white teeth of serfs.
But hiking, at that instant, becomes
our magical past.
