1.shadow作动词主要有两层含义，一是跟踪盯梢，还可以引申为跟随某人学习，二是投下阴影。

表跟踪：He was shadowed for a week by the secret police.

常见用法-job shadowing

表投下阴影：A wide-brimmed hat shadowed her face.

2.sleep on it 还不确定，要想一想再决定

例句：I'm not sure yet, I need to sleep on it.

3.trap in the past 沉湎于过去

还可以用dwell on，表示花了没必要的时间来沉浸在某事。
