我意识到

正是纠缠于过去及其对未来的投射，

摧毁了我于当下此刻得到平安的愿望。

平安无法于过去或未来觅得，

它只存在于当下此刻。

过去已然过去，未来尚未到来。

我决心活在今天，

不再幻想过去和未来，

全然地活在当下此刻。

不断提醒自己：

唯有当下此刻

才是唯一存在的时间。

Inner Peace • Lesson 14

This Instant Is The Only Time There Is

My preoccupation with the past and its projection into the future defeats my aim of present peace. Peace cannot be found in the past or future, but only now, within this instant. The past is over and the future is yet to be.

I am determined to live today without past-future fantasies by entering fully into this present instant and by reminding myself: This instant is the only time there is.
