Getting richer and living a bett
According to the latest data released by the State Statistical Bureau, in the first three quarters of this year, the national income continued to maintain rapid growth, the growth rate is faster than the same period last year and the first half of this year, also the growth of GDP, among which the rural residents' income growth is faster than urban residents’. Besides, consumption growth is more stable continuously, and the consumption structure is upgrading. Also, the rural residents’ consumption growth is faster than the urban residents’. In other words, we people are getting richer and our lives are getting better and better.
From the chart, we can see that in the third quarter, the per capita disposable income of the whole country is RMB 19342, which is 7.5% higher than that of the same period last year , and its growth rate is also 1.2 percentage points faster. This year is also a happy year for rural residents, because their income is growing faster than urban residents. Data shows that the per capita disposable income of urban residents is RMB 27430, which is an increase of 6.6% over that of the past, while the per capita disposable income of rural residents is only RMB 9778, which has increased by 7.5%. That is to say, the income of rural residents is increasing quicker than that of urban residents, and the income gap between urban and rural residents will continue to shrink. These results are due to the government's accelerated implementation of the precision poverty alleviation strategy and the efforts to help the low-income groups.
From the chart, first of all, in the first three quarters, the per capita consumption expenditure of the national residents was RMB 13162, which increased 5.9 percent, ignoring the impact of price. According to the permanent residence, the per capita consumption expenditure of urban residents was RMB17846, which increased 4.5 percent, while the per capita consumption expenditure of rural residents was RMB 7623, which increased 7.4 percent. Therefore, we can draw a conclusion that the growth of rural residents' consumption expenditure is faster than the growth of urban residents. And it is inseparable from the rapid growth of their income.
We can also clearly see that the proportion of the basic consumption of food and clothing continues to decrease. Affected by the decline of the price of daily food such as pork and vegetables, the growth of food expenditure per capita was slower around the whole country. And the expenditure of per capita clothing is also growing. However, as a whole, the proportion of service consumption continues to increase, for example, the growth of expenditure per capita education, culture and entertainment, other products and services are getting faster, which means that the demand of residents to improve the quality of life has been ranked. Since the beginning of this year, the telecom industry has continuously carried out speed raising and cost reduction measures, which has effectively reduced the communication costs of residents.
In addiction, in the first three quarters, the per capita communication expenditure of the whole country has increased, but its growth rate is relatively low compared to GPD per capita. Increasing consumption in medical care proves that people are paying more and more attention to health. At the same time, some areas accelerate the integration of the basic medical insurance system for urban and rural residents, the proportion of medical insurance reimbursement is increased, especially the rural residents enjoy more medical services. From the data, we find out that the consumption growth is more stable continuously, and the consumption structure is upgrading.
