Presentation
Well, I'd like to talk about the achievement of my weight loss of 5 kilograms in a month. Last month, I gave myself a goal to lose 5 kilograms in a month. I started my diet and along with that, I began exercising regularly. A hard time indeed. But I managed to reach the goal at last. My husband and I decided to celebrate it by having a fancy dinner in the town. We booked a really nice restaurant that made Sichuan Cuisine. It was a memorable time. Because, initially, we did had a good time, the food was delicious and the restaurant there was delicate. However, we still managed to turn this lovely dinner into a feast. It seemed decades ago since I ate anything that night. And I was just extremely hungry. We ate to the fullest and we could hardly walk after that.
I knew if I kept eating like this, my achievement would turn into a minor setback on my way to a heavy woman. So we decided to stay hungry the next day, and only drink some water. And after that, we need to keep exercising and a balanced diet. Health is very important.
So, all in all, it was an unusual celebration, and I still felt regret of what we did. But nevertheless, it was a memorable time.
Part 3
· How do Chinese people celebrate their family events? Is there anything different from other countries?
Generally, on family events like birthdays of the elderly, or reunion on a holiday, Chinese people tend to enjoy a good meal at home or in a restaurant. Chinese people are famous for our passion for food. And, occasionally, people would play Mahjong or poker games with other family members.
Contrastly, I happened to know, in India, a lot of families usually commence religious activities like praying in the temple or church. So to my knowledge, despite all the differences in customs, Chinese people stand out because of the passion for food. Everything can be celebrated with a good meal.
· Why is it important for sports fans to celebrate when their favorite team wins?
Well, I don't know much about sports, but I can understand why it is important. The fans tend to think that they are a part of the team, a part of the game. So when the team wins, they celebrate the win as their victory, too. I think the same applies in other fields. Like the fans of singer in a singing contest will also show their excitement after their idol wins the first price.
· Do people prefer winning in a team or on their own?
Well, I haven't given any thoughts on this. I believe personal achievement is great because it represents the individual efforts, and it shows a person is the best. But as team and the idea of teamwork become more widely accepted, I suggest more people would prefer to win as a team.
Because obviously they'd have their teammates to celebrate the win together.
