I’m designing a mobile app that helps restaurant waiters and waitresses manage their tables and orders. It’s only partially done — this first iteration has several limitations (and a cluttered UI) that I’d like to overcome in later versions — but I’ve gotten to work through several ideas so far. This is a placeholder post; I’m planning to write a full Medium post on the design and process (hopefully when the project is further along), but wanted to post up the progress in the meantime.

Also, for folks that have the freePixate app for iOSorAndroid, you can see arough prototype herethat I built to demonstrate some structure and show some animations.

Here are all of the screens for this current version (work-in-progress). The top three are the “home view” and the bottom the individual “table view.” You clear a table by swiping left.
